  • Focusing on coach development by expanding their knowledge of new and innovative coaching techniques
  • Presenting effective ways of teaching players within their specific age groups based on cognitive models for understanding
  • Assisting coaches with session planning to incorporate skills like sports physiology, communication, injury prevention, conditioning, nutrition, and periodization

Henson earned his BSN RN from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and worked as a pediatric nurse specializing in pediatric and neonatal intensive care for many years. His current endeavors include working with several businesses in the Omaha metro area.

Henson is a devoted husband and father of three daughters, and is a massive Liverpool fanatic!

Why did I choose to coach for ROJA?

I came to ROJA because the true mission was all about the kids and the benefit of working with so many excellent coaches who share a common mission was refreshing!

Having the opportunity to coach allows me the opportunity to give back to kids and assist them in their growth as players and people. The enjoyment I get from watching players succeed is priceless.
