Biography

Dave Henson is in his second season as a coach for the NFC Roja soccer Program. A 30-year coaching veteran, Henson also serves as the club’s Director of Coaching Education.

Henson believes in the holistic development of the player, which can be seen in the manner he continues to develop himself. He has traveled to England to experience training sessions of various Premier League clubs. He also traveled to the Isle of Man and participated in the English Elite Development Program.

Henson is taking part in a specialized Soccer Coaching program at Ohio University to earn his master’s degree. Currently, the program is the only one of its kind and features current US Women’s National team coach, Vlatko Andonovski, as a graduate.

A graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Henson worked as a pediatric nurse specializing in pediatric and neonatal intensive care, along with pediatric trauma. His current endeavors include several businesses in the Omaha metro area.

Henson is a devoted husband and father of three daughters. He also is a massive Liverpool fanatic!
